12Q: I get frustrated when I walk into a salon or spa (not yours, just saying in general!) and I feel like they are just trying to sell me products. Is skin care really all it’s cracked up to be?
A: In short… absolutely. Quality skin care is often the missing link in someone’s beauty routine. Many people are using some form of skin care; however more often than not, it is from the drug store or department store. Sephora doesn’t even cut it guys! Medical-grade skincare is key, as it has undergone extensive research and the formulas are highly concentrated. In other words, they actually work. But this is only half the battle, making sure the products are appropriate for your type of skin is equally as important. This can be determined by a trained skin professional at a medical spa. Last but not least is consistency. If you are only using it whenever you remember, it is likely not enough. It is just like going to the gym; you cannot expect to see results if you only do it some of the time.

Q: When should I get started on Botox and filler?
A: There is no cookie-cutter way to answer this question. Everyone is different. I have patients across a wide age-range and from all walks of life. It is important to have a consultation with an experienced injector who can appropriately assess your needs. However, starting earlier is certainly better than starting later in the game. In other words, it is much easier to prevent than it is to correct.

Q: I really want to get my lips done but am afraid of the pain! How bad is it?
A: It is not the most fun thing in the world, but far from the worst! (Perspective here… I have had two natural childbirths!) All kidding aside, we do numb your lips prior to the procedure. In addition to topical and injectable numbing, we also use cooling machines, vibrating tools and nitrous oxide (ProNox) to help ease your discomfort and anxiety. Rest assured that you will be happy and not regret it!
