TWELFTH ANNUAL MARTHA’S VINEYARD FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL RETURNS OCTOBER 23–27, 2019
(Edgartown, MA) The Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival (MVF&W), the flagship food and beverage event on Martha’s Vineyard celebrating Sea, Farm & Vine will return to Edgartown on October 23–27, 2019. For the twelfth year, 2,000+ food and wine enthusiasts will converge for a series of unique-to-the-Island experiences. The five night, four-day event showcases the Island’s best local culinary talent, producers and ingredients; complemented by celebrated chefs, knowledgeable educators and best-in-class winemakers.
This year’s festival promises to be the biggest and the best yet, with several returning signature events and even more elevated additions including an evening with Michelin-Starred Chef Daniel Boulud at the Harbor View Hotel’s Bettini Restaurant. Once again the highlight of the weekend’s celebration, the Grand Tasting, will be held at the picturesque Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Katama, with many other events taking place at the Harbor View Hotel and other locations. Participating Edgartown restaurants include Atria, Alchemy, l’etoile, Rosewater Market & Takeaway, Détente, The Terrace at the Charlotte Inn, Town Bar & Grill and more. Also new this year is the addition of dinners outside Edgartown, including events at State Road restaurant in West Tisbury; Garde East and Beach Road restaurant in Vineyard Haven; and Sweet Life in Oak Bluffs.
“I’m genuinely thrilled for this year’s festival. The increased level of interest and support from new and returning sponsors and participants has enabled us to greatly expand the festival lineup. We’re really raising the caliber of the experiences and wine available to our guests this year and it’s very exciting.” – Dawn Curtis Hanley, MVF&W Festival Director.
The MVF&W Festival was founded by the Edgartown Board of Trade in 2007 with the goal to create additional tourism on the Island during the autumn months. The MVF&W Festival is rooted in its commitment to showcase the local talent and abundant resources on Martha’s Vineyard all year long, and further supports the community by donating proceeds to local charities including the Island’s farm-to-school program Island Grown Schools, and the Agricultural Society’s Farmers Program which perpetuates agriculture on Martha’s Vineyard.
The MVF&W festival is made possible by Edgartown Board of Trade, Colonial Reproductions, Sandpiper Realty, the Steamship Authority, JW Construction, The Christina Gallery, Guinness, Rosewater Wine & Spirits, 123 Tequila, White Claw, Back Bay Roasters, Boston Design Center, Brennan & Co, Cape Cod Five, and more.
